A Stick Sharpened at Both Ends

A work for chamber orchestra and modular synthesizer, inspired by and arranged to the story Lord of the Flies by William Golding. This page reflects the ongoing creation of this work as it is being written; all material presented here will undergo much transformation along the way, some won’t remain in the final resulting album.

Currently the remaining orchestral sketches are in development, which will be followed by a phase of re-synthesizing various elements of the orchestral performances back into the tracks, primarily using the Make Noise Tape & Microsound Music Machine. The last phase of this project will be the orchestrations and final arrangements of the original sketches formed in accordance to the modular performances.
