About Neal

Making music and home movies as a kid, I grew up in the the punk/emo/hardcore rock scenes of Alabama & Southeastern coastline where I fell into making story driven concept hardcore music & releasing some emo/alt rock albums through teens & young adult life.

My “musical flavors” are heavily informed by ventures in electronics engineering, software programming, and a love for guitar FX pedals & modular synthesizers. Nicknamed the “fiddler crab” by my bandmates, the white-knuckle obsession I carry for seeking out “the sound” to serve the song & story is at the heart of who I am and how I approach a project. I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate on a couple of short film projects and an indie VR video game, and am currently refining my scoring craft through a dedicated film scoring mentorship program.
